At the Arabic Academy, under the direction of Head Teacher, Dr. Osama F. Zaki, we teach Modern Standard Arabic العربية القياسية الحديثة which is widely used in all Arabic-speaking countries. There is a balance in place to ensure students are taught all the different skills - Reading القراءة, Writing الكتابة, Listening اﻻستماع and Speaking التحدث, i.e., the understanding and the generation of a language. We apply modern learning and teaching styles and it is our goal to link our teaching to real life and social events. Religious texts are optional and those who are interested can pursue this further. We try as much as possible to reduce the process of memorisation and to substitute this with deep understanding and criticism.
